SME Meeting Update
Speaking with Society of Manufacturing Engineers Members
Team Duct Tape enjoyed meeting with Society of Manufacturing Engineers members last week, and informing them about FIRST robotics and about their own team journey. SME members were treated to the inaugural run of this season’s Hot Shot! robot, and what it lacked in sensationalism (it’s still early in the season!) , we think it made up for in fun and informative content.
We appreciate SME members’ obvious and sincere interest and attention, and were deeply honored by their presentation of a beautiful framed certificate commemorating our visit. It’ll have a place of honor at our pit table!
We’re looking forward to visiting again later in the season, with a finished robot, and 
perhaps the experience of a competition or two under our belts. We hope to see some SME folks at this week’s upcoming Tempest ‘n’ Tampa event, too!
