Not only did we get to share a bit about what we do in FTC,but we got to enjoy some time with FRC team Thundercats ,and enjoyed the opportunity to drive their great robot “Shiny”around! A couple of days later,on November 16,TDT [...] [...] FTCs new season kicks off in September,but Team Duct Tape’s season seems to begin earlier each year! Team members met yesterday for the first of some Getting to Know Robot C programming meetings,to give students interested in better understanding programming some hands on opportunities. We also got the chance to meet a potential new [...] [...] Team members spent several hours at McCormick Stevenson yesterday,getting a more professional handle on ProEngineer. They made a lot of progress and return today to fine tune their knowledge further. After yesterday’s session,several members joined FWSC-ASME and SME (Society of Manufacturing Engineers) members in a tour of AquaCal,where they learned about the [...] [...] Some Team Duct Tape members joined FWCS-ASME engineers for their monthly dinner meeting which,this month,featured Paul Wahnish of the Career Technical Education Foundation. Mr. Wahnish,whose work with FIRST in Florida includes the annual off-season event,Tempest ‘n Tampa and East Lake High School’s Robotics Boosters programs,gave a great overview of the [...] [...] Go Little Bot! Team Duct Tape is ready for a great weekend of fun and competition at the Florida FTC State Championship ,this Saturday,February 28,at the University of South Florida Campus Recreation Center. We’ve worked hard and spruced up our robot,cleaned up our interview,tidied our Engineers notebook,tweaked [...] [...] “We get what we celebrate,”FIRST president Paul Gudonis said,quoting FIRST founder Dean Kamen,in his keynote speech at the 2009 NETA conference. And today,Team Duct had a chance to celebrate everything they love about FIRST as they represented FIRST Tech Challenge at the conference luncheon.
