The duct tape was flying,too,as those not working on the robot at any given time,worked on their team “look,”and give-aways. Results from the last two qualifying competitions are online at the Florida FIRST Tech Challenge website and it looks like we’ve got our work cut out for us! This year,Florida is trying out the use of Team Videos instead of Team Interviews the day of a [...] [...] [ October 21,2010;6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. ] Team Duct Tape members will be joining Florida Suncoast Chapter of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers members on a tour of Tri-Tronics,a maker of photoelectronic sensors,fiberoptic light guides,and controls that are used in packaging,machine automation,inkjet and offset printing,product inspection and more. Pete Grotsky shares interview guidance Team Duct Tape enjoyed an instructive visit from FWCS-ASME President Pete Grotsky,of Government Programming Contracting and Management Services,who shared his insights on elements of a good interview, what a quality Engineering notebook should look like,and how a good team conducts itself. TDT members have worked like the living dead (but with a lot more energy!) on their robot the last couple of days – —trying to complete a robot design everyone feels will be competitive and successful.
