The robot’s built,the Engineering Notebook is complete,our Team Video is turned in,we’ve got some cool duct tape gear and goodies for our FTC [...] [...] [ November 10,2011;5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. ] Team Duct Tape was honored to be selected to represent FIRST Tech Challenge at this week’s Elliott Masie Learning 2011 Conference in Orlando. TDT students joined Exploding Bacon’s FRC team and FLL Team Party Boss in a fantastic day that included an opportunity to meet with FIRST founder Dean Kamen,in the morning,along with [...] [...] TDT members with FIRST president,Jon Dudas Team Duct Tape joined seven other FIRST teams at MOSI in Tampa on Oct. 25,to kick off the 3rd Annual Florida STEM Summit,hosted by the Career Technical Education Foundation (CTEF). The highlight of the evening was meeting FIRSTpresident Jon Astronaut Leland Melvin signed photos for students Dudas and astronaut Leland [...] [...] FTCs new season kicks off in September,but Team Duct Tape’s season seems to begin earlier each year! Team members met yesterday for the first of some Getting to Know Robot C programming meetings,to give students interested in better understanding programming some hands on opportunities. We also got the chance to meet a potential new [...] [...] FLL team Brick Buddies,which is heading to the FL FLL State Championship this weekend,just created this great FLL Rules video! Look closely and you’ll catch some glimpses of FLL Team TechnoForce,too. Great job,Brick Buddies! And good luck at the State Championship,from Team Duct Tape! [...] Team Duct Tape members headed over to the Hillsborough High School Regional FIRST LEGO League Tournament Saturday morning,to cheer on FLL Teams Brick Buddies and TechnoForce , whom we’ve worked with and mentored. It was fun seeing all that raw FLL energy,and we had to head back to TDT HQ all too soon for [...] [...] [ December 4,2010;] TDT members worked hard over their holiday break,meeting on three separate days before and after Thanksgiving to refine programming ,practice driving and make final tweaks. The duct tape was flying,too,as those not working on the robot at any given time,worked on their team “look,”and give-aways.
