It’s a good thing our next competition is a couple of months away,because our robot is looking a [...] [...] Evaluating our robot We had a great time visiting the USF Racing Team yesterday,and got some terrific construction and design ideas from looking at their baja cars. We learned a lot about strengthening up the robot’s construction,got more ideas for improving our belt design and learned a bit about electrical considerations. It was great fun [...] [...] [ December 3,2009;3:31 pm to 5:31 pm. ] TDT is heading over to visit the USF Racing Team Thursday,to get some mentoring insights from Society of Automotive Engineers student members,who design,fabricate,and race Baja and Formula cars. Like FTC team members,USF Racing Team members “must function as a team to not only design,build,test,promote,and race [...] [...] Post Competition Celebration TDT members enjoyed reflecting about last weekend’s qualifying competition and our PTC Design Award win,over cake and refreshments at Saturday’s meeting. We discussed what worked:teamwork,team committment,a great interview,a pretty good Engineering notebook,a sturdy robot with a sizeable hopper;And what didn’t:an unreliable collection system,a slow shooter.
